@Maurice Galla, coordinator of work package 6 (identification & quantification of MCMs) presented the JA Stockpile, in particular the goals of work package 6. He highlighted how the JA and the work of DG HERA can amplify each other to create a comprehensive EU-wide MCM strategy. JA Stockpile participants provided valuable insides on the goals of stockpiles for health threats, the need for a clear layered stockpiling system, and thoughts on how to best identify priority MCMs.
WP6 participation in DG HERA compendium workshop
On February 24th several participants from the Joint Action (JA) Stockpile joined a workshop hosted by DG HERA. The goal of the workshop was to discuss the compendium that DG HERA is developing. The compendium aims to define criteria to help decision making on suitability of medical countermeasures (MCMs) for stockpiling at EU level. The compendium shows strong synergies with the work of the JA Stockpile.
